    Job Title: Campus Security Monitor Exemption Status/Test: Nonexempt Reports to: Police Chief / Principal Date Revised: August 2025 Dept./School: Police / MISD Campus Salary: PG 1/Auxiliary Hiring Schedule - 182 days

    Primary Purpose: Maintain order in school parking lots by monitoring parking lots before, during and after school. Qualifications: Education/Certification:

    High school diploma or GED

    Special Knowledge/Skills:

    Effective communication and interpersonal skill Possess a good driving record Ability to read and follow instructions Ability to perform basic arithmetic

    Experience: Requirement determined by supervisor Responsibilities and Duties:

    1. Monitor parking lots before, during and after school.
    2. Communicate with high school age students regarding parking lot rules.
    3. Ticket vehicles as regulations dictate.
    4. Follow through with collection of fines.
    5. Maintain records of assigned fines and payments made.
    6. Notify principal or security when serious infractions occur.
    7. Keep principal informed of potential problems.
    8. Handle approved towing requests of vehicles when needed.
    9. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
    10. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
    11. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
    12. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
    13. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
    14. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
    15. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
    16. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
    17. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
    18. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
    19. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
