Campus Safety Technology Specialist

State Title: Professional Services Specialist III Bargaining Unit: AFT Employment Type: 35 hours per week, Full-time

Internal Salary Range: $21,638.33 - $102,164.26 External Salary Range: $21,638.33 - $73,415.99

UNION POSITIONS The internal salary range is used for applicants who are current NJ state employees with underlying classified status for promotional calculations who meet the requirements below. The external salary range is used for candidates who are not NJ state employees who meet the requirements below.

Position Overview

  • Administration of all TCNJ Police Department electronic systems and services.
  • Provide support and direction with technical expertise and knowledge of the current systems and ensure that systems are utilized to their full potential.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the computing environment, system configurations, and technical procedures.
  • Triage support with TCNJ IT staff, government agencies, and vendors.
  • Project management for new technical projects and initiatives.
  • Deploy updates, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues, and train colleagues on the proper use of Police Department systems.
  • Research trends and emerging technology enhancements for Campus Police.
  • Suggest improvements and efficiencies in current operational procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and test business continuity plans and emergency operations.
