Summary: Responsible for acting as a middle manager between State Directors and Canvassing / hourly employees. Responsible for program execution including hiring, training and supervising hourly staff, creating and distributing voter contact lists and overseeing the completion of all daily campaign work by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Hire, train, supervise, and fire hourly employees.*

  2. Schedule interviews, hire and onboard hourly employee applicants.*

  3. Train newly hired employees on company policy and campaign best practices.*

  4. Ensure ongoing program is effectively carried out, reflects positively on clients, and work is done in accordance with company policy.*

  5. Oversee administration of basic human resources functions.*

  6. Oversee daily clock-in and clock-out of all hourly employees.*

  7. Distribute weekly paychecks.*

  8. Create and maintain employee schedule, track attendance, and assign staff to driving groups.*

  9. Create and distribute voter contact tools.*

  10. Create walk turf, phone banks, text banks and other campaign voter contact tools.*

  11. Assign campaign work to hourly staff, via walk packets, phone banks, or text banks.*

  12. Maintain check-out/sign-out and return of company resources used on campaigns, i.e.. Phones, tablets, clipboards.*

  13. Responsible for data entry and quality control.*

  14. Enter all completed data into campaign voter contact databases.*

  15. Compare individual voter contact shift data against past performance and provided standards to ensure validity of work.*

  16. Generate nightly progress for State Director.*

  17. Conduct follow up phone calls to contacted voters as a means of quality checking performance.*

  18. Conduct employee drive-by’s to make sure Canvassers are in assigned turf.*

  19. Keep office in presentable standards that reflect positively on clients.*

  20. Enforce and maintain staff dress code as identified in handbook.*

  21. Efficiently organize necessary program documents to ensure a thorough onboarding process.*

  22. Responsible for office / program check-out.*

  23. Attend nightly checkout call for campaign management staff.*

  24. Assemble and compile nightly office reports.*

  25. Verify that nightly tracking documents are complete.*

  26. Assist with purchasing of supplies.

  27. Research and scout potential office locations.

  28. Maintain office cleanliness.

  29. Regularly take out trash and recycling, and clean bathrooms and common areas.

  30. As-needed tasks at the discretion of CFO, VPs or State Directors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages the Field Operations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
