CAM Programmer — Mastercam/Vericut Specialist
Where:Addison, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire

Role snapshot
- Program multi-axis CNC mills and lathes with complete tool, fixture, and setup packages aligned to quality standards.
- Develop, verify, and optimize toolpaths in Mastercam 2024–2025 and validate with Vericut.
- Drive process improvements by partnering with tooling suppliers; plan and execute tool tests and scale successful results.
- Create and maintain manufacturing plans; manage controlled distribution of programs to the shop floor.
- Define first-article and in-process inspection points with QA and produce supporting documentation.
- Continuously reduce cycle time through fixture design enhancements and program refinement.
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 10+ years of CNC programming plus 5+ years CNC machining experience.
- Mastery of Mastercam 2024–2025; experienced with Vericut and program editors.
- SolidWorks proficiency.
- Read and apply GD&T to ASME Y14.5-2009.
- Advanced knowledge of Mazak, Haas, and Heidenhain controls.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Consistent record of meeting or exceeding part specifications.
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- Team-first communicator; collaborates across departments.
- Manufacturing engineering aptitude; strong multitasking and problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and effective with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
Shop environment
- High noise from operating equipment; moving machinery hazards.
- Exposure to fumes, dust, mist, oils, and cutting fluids.
- Equipment: CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) — Mazak, Haas; CNC Lathe (5+ axis) — Mazak.
