    Description

    Our client is seeking to add a California Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor to their team. This individual will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of California Workers' Compensation Claims Examiners while providing technical guidance, oversight, and support on moderate to complex Lost Time/Indemnity claims. Qualified candidates must possess extensive knowledge of California Workers' Compensation laws and regulations, along with prior leadership or supervisory experience. This is a full-time, permanent position with the ability to work remotely.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of California Workers' Compensation Claims Examiners.
    • Provide technical guidance and support on moderate to complex, litigated California Workers' Compensation claims.
    • Conduct file reviews to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, reserve accuracy, and adherence to company best practices.
    • Assist with claim escalations, settlement authority, and complex claim resolution.
    • Monitor team performance, productivity, and service standards while providing ongoing coaching and training.
    • Partner with management to implement operational initiatives and promote continuous process improvement.
    • Foster a high level of customer service while ensuring compliance with California Workers' Compensation laws and company guidelines.
    Requirements:
    • 5-7+ years of California Workers' Compensation Lost Time/Indemnity claims handling experience.
    • Previous supervisory, team lead, or mentoring experience required.
    • Strong knowledge of California Workers' Compensation laws, statutes, and regulations.
    • Experience handling complex and litigated claims.
    • Self-Insurance Plans (SIP) certification highly preferred.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
    • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
     
    Salary & Benefits:
    • $95,000–$120,000 base salary (depending on experience).
