    Description

    MSI-Viking is seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to perform calibration and testing of dimensional gages, hand tools, and other metrology equipment in accordance with A2LA/ISO 17025 requirements.

    This role is a great fit for someone who is technically minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently, supporting customers, and handling a variety of calibration and measurement tasks.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform manual and automated calibration and testing of dimensional gages, hand tools, and related metrology equipment
    • Complete calibration work in accordance with A2LA/ISO 17025 requirements and established procedures
    • Update calibration tracking software and maintain accurate service records
    • Generate calibration certificates and document inspection and test results
    • Troubleshoot calibration, measurement, and equipment-related issues
    • Communicate with customers regarding service needs, technical concerns, and status updates
    • Maintain productivity, quality, and documentation standards
    • Support customer and field service requirements through travel as needed

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Calibration Technician
    • Strong understanding of metrology and calibration practices
    • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to troubleshoot measurement and calibration issues
    • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and expand technical skills
    • Ability to reason through and resolve complex customer concerns
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing
    • Ability to travel as needed
