Job Summary
MSI Viking is seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to perform calibration and testing of dimensional gages, hand tools, and other metrology equipment in accordance with A2LA/ISO 17025 requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and with customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated calibration and testing of dimensional gages, hand tools, and related metrology equipment
- Complete work in accordance with A2LA/ISO 17025 requirements
- Update calibration tracking software and maintain accurate records
- Generate calibration certifications and document results
- Troubleshoot calibration and measurement issues
- Communicate with customers regarding service needs and technical concerns
- Maintain productivity and quality standards
- Travel as needed to support customer and field service requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Calibration Technician
- Strong mathematical skills
- Familiarity with metrology and calibration services
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Ability to reason through and resolve complex customer concerns
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing
- Ability to travel as needed
