Job Title: Calibration Technician (Analytical)
Location: North Chicago, IL
Hire Type: Long-Term Contract
Target Pay Rate: $33.00/hour
Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Onsite

Job Summary:
The Calibration Technician will calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and document analytical laboratory instrumentation used in pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory environments. This role will ensure equipment operates accurately and reliably while meeting GMP, metrology, and regulatory requirements.

Must Have Skills:
  • 5+ years of calibration, metrology, or analytical instrumentation experience
  • Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry instruments
  • Experience calibrating and troubleshooting analytical laboratory equipment
  • Working knowledge of GC and LC systems
  • Experience with instrument-specific software and data systems
  • Understanding of calibration, metrology, and regulated laboratory practices
  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or other regulated environment experience preferred

Job Duties:
  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments
  • Support mass spectrometry, GC, LC, and related laboratory equipment
  • Perform instrument checks, adjustments, and verification
  • Review calibration results against established specifications
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and equipment documentation
  • Follow GMP, SOP, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with instrument installation, qualification, and return-to-service activities
  • Work with Laboratory, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve equipment issues

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant calibration, metrology, or analytical instrumentation experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with analytical laboratory equipment
  • Mass spectrometry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Agilent, Waters, and/or AB Sciex instruments preferred
  • Knowledge of GC and LC workflows
  • GMP or regulated laboratory experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a pharmaceutical laboratory/manufacturing environment
