Recently named by Newsweek as one of the Best American Mid-Sized Workplaces in 2026, Rohde & Schwarz USA Inc is seeking a Calibration Specialist to join our Service team in our Columbia, MD headquarters facility. With regional offices in Maryland, Texas, California, and Oregon, we provide our customers in North America with extensive after- sales support, training, free technical support and close personal contact from our engineers out in the field. The Calibration specialist will work closely with technical team members to ensure timely turn-around and quality performance on calibration jobs in the Service Center and occasionally on location at Customer sites.

Your tasks

• Provides customer support, either in-house or on-site, involving calibration and certification of Test and Measurement equipment
• Works with the Calibration Supervisor, Product Line supervisor, and System Administrator to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and service of the automated calibration systems
• Responsible for evaluation and preparation of complex data reports

Your qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 helpful but not required
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to travel occasionally (~5%)
• Availability to work overtime when require
• To be considered, candidates must be located in the US and have valid US work authorization.

The total compensation for this position is $21.50-$28.50 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
