Job Title: Calibration and Test Technician
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract
Calibration and Test Technicianwith our client located in Pleasanton, CA.
The Calibration & EOL Test Technician (Contractor) will support day-to-day calibration and end-of-line testing of LiDAR systems. This role is hands-on and involves operating automated test stations, following controlled procedures, documenting results, and escalating failures or unexpected behavior to engineering.
Job Responsibilities:- Set up and fixture units on automated calibration and EOL test stations
- Run scripted calibration and test sequences and review pass/fail results
- Re-run test or calibration steps when allowed by documented procedures
- Collect logs and test data when failures or unexpected results occur
- Maintain accurate traveler, test, calibration, and unit records
- Follow laser safety, ESD, interlock, and equipment-handling procedures
- Escalate abnormal results or repeated failures to engineering rather than troubleshooting outside the documented process
Job Qualifications:- Hands-on optical/electro-optical test or calibration experience
- Experience operating automated test or calibration stations
- Basic Linux command-line proficiency
- Ability to follow procedures and document results accurately
- Good judgment on when to re-run a step versus escalate to engineering.
- Strong laser safety and equipment-handling awareness
- Coding experience is not required
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education and advanced certification in addition to prior work experience
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Must be organized and have strong attention to detail
- Must be expected to work independently once trained
- Experience with Lidar testing activities
Job Details: • Contract: 6-9 months
• Pay Range: $50-$60/hr
• Location: Pleasanton, CA (Onsite)
