Job Summary
We are seeking a cake decorator/pastry assistant to join the team at our busy bakery! In this role, you will prepare a variety of cakes and pastries. You will be responsible for opening the bakery in the morning and prepping for the day ahead. The ideal candidate has previous bakery experience and a passion for creating delicious cakes and pastries. If you are creative, hardworking, and want to share your tasty creations with customers, we’d like to hear from you!

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Open the bakery and prepare for the day ahead/or later shift available 
• Clean and sanitize equipment and baking areas
• Bake a variety of  cakes and pastries
• Decorate cakes
• Prepare custom orders
• Track, maintain, and order inventory as necessary  

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience as a baker, cake decorator, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred 
• Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
• Knowledge of food safety practices
• Previous experience decorating cakes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Team player
• Available for early morning shifts
