Job: Cafeteria Worker

Hours: Full-Time, Variable hours 6am-9pm, Mon-Fri, every other weekend, every other holiday

Location: 555 N Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 

Position Summary:

Prepares, portions, and serves food and beverages required for cafeteria service and catered activities. Collects money and maintains a pleasant environment in an area which is kept orderly, clean, and sanitary.

Essential Functions:

• • Prepares miscellaneous food and beverage items in the prescribed manner and stores them properly.
  • Portions food accurately and serves in an attractive manner.
  • Maintains adequate supply of self-serve items properly displayed.
  • Records items and volumes provided and returned from, catered events.
  • Cashiers when functioning in the absence of a Cafeteria Worker II.
  • Makes sure that cafeteria and dining room equipment are orderly, clean, and sanitary
  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

  Preferred Qualifications:

  · H.S. Diploma/GED

  · 1+ years experience in food service industry

  · 1+ years experience with cash registers

  · Completion of a three-month sanitation course
