General Manager – Kitchen Mouse Café

Kitchen Mouse is looking for an experienced General Manager to be the owner's right hand.

We're a busy neighborhood café known for breakfast, brunch, coffee, and house-made baked goods—mostly plant-based and gluten-free, but always focused on food everyone can enjoy.

We want someone who takes pride in building great teams, creating smooth systems, and making guests and staff feel genuinely cared for. If you naturally jump in when something needs doing, love mentoring people, and take ownership without being asked—you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do

• Lead day-to-day café operations.
• Hire, train, and coach servers, baristas, cooks, and shift leads.
• Build a positive, accountable team culture.
• Ensure every guest gets warm, genuine hospitality.
• Keep service smooth during busy breakfast and brunch shifts.
• Create schedules and manage labor responsibly.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness and food safety.
• Oversee opening procedures and daily setup.
• Troubleshoot operational and staffing issues as they come up.
• Partner with ownership to improve systems and grow the business.

What We're Looking For

• Restaurant management experience.
• High-volume café or breakfast/brunch experience strongly preferred.
• A confident, supportive leader who loves developing people.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Someone who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable making independent decisions and owning outcomes.
• Experience with scheduling, labor, inventory, and daily operations.
• Toast POS experience is a plus.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Weekend availability required.
• Most days start at 6:30 AM to support the morning team and set up for success.
• Primarily a daytime role centered on breakfast and lunch, with occasional later hours as needed.
