Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve quality beverages and food while delivering top-notch customer service
- Build familiarity with all café food and beverage items, including ingredients
- Recommend items and pairings to guests based on their purchases
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with guests using clear, friendly, and professional language and body language
- Stay composed during high-volume periods and unexpected situations
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to questions promptly
- Help train new team members by reinforcing standards and providing respectful coaching
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Follow all policies and procedures to support safety and security
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance; complete other duties as assigned
Must-Have Qualifications
- At least 1 year of specialty coffee experience
- Strong communication and customer focus
- Dependable, organized, and able to multitask with effective time management
- Ability to manage stress and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Food Handlers card or ServSafe certification
- High school diploma or GED
Nice-to-Have
- Experience supporting training/coaching of new team members
