    Job Description: Café Host (Front-of-House)

    On behalf of our client, a new craft café and bakery built around the traditions of fermentation in food and beverage, we are seeking dedicated hospitality professionals for their flagship opening in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

    Job Title: Café Host (Front-of-House)

    Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY

    Employment Type: Full-Time (3 openings)

    Pay Rate: $21.00 – $25.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)

    Shift Schedule:

    • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    About the Role:

    As the first face guests encounter, you will set the tone for their entire visit, balancing thoughtful hospitality with smooth operations. You will define the first impression of our client's brand, delivering service that is refined yet approachable so that every guest feels genuinely welcomed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greeting & Seating: Welcoming guests, showing them to their seats, and communicating wait times

    • Orders & POS: Taking orders, processing payments, and managing mobile orders

    • Tables & Floor: Setting, bussing, and cleaning tables, and keeping the dining area orderly

    • Supplies: Checking and restocking guest-facing items such as napkins and cutlery

    • Guest Relations & Escalation: Handling inquiries and initial feedback with care, and escalating issues to management as appropriate

    • Storefront Presentation: Keeping seating and displays tidy, and supporting seasonal decoration

    • Cross-Team Coordination: Working with the kitchen and barista teams to time service well

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Experience in hospitality or customer service welcome (open to entry-level candidates with strong interpersonal skills)

    • Customer-facing English communication and comfort with POS systems

    • Ability to work a consistent morning-to-afternoon schedule (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
