CADD Support Consultant

Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a CADD Support Consultant to assist with the support and implementation of CADD software and workspaces within the Department. The consultant will assist Department personnel in the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software, primarily Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Bentley OpenBridge Modeler, with some support for legacy workspaces including Bentley InRoads, MicroStation SS2, CAiCE, and Bentley MicroStation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day user support.
- Troubleshoot user issues submitted through the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Perform software installations as needed for users.
- Assist with external user workspace installations.
- Assist in maintaining the Department's Engineering Software standards and documentation.
- Determine the best way to use Bentley software to achieve design or plan preparation goals.
- Determine the best way to utilize the workspace to achieve project objectives.
- Develop and document best practices, workflows, and how-to guides for CADD users.
- Develop and conduct CADD software and workspace user training sessions.
- Assist with the development and delivery of training materials as needed.
- Investigate new and emerging CADD technologies and make recommendations to Department personnel and management for implementation.
- Document and revise existing and new business processes to meet new or updated CADD software requirements.
- Develop CADD software best practices and standards.
- Support development, testing, and implementation of CADD software solutions and workspaces.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience documenting and revising existing and new business processes to meet new or revised CADD software requirements required.
- 2 years of experience supporting the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software required.
- 2 years of experience working with CADD software including Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Bentley OpenBridge Modeler, Bentley InRoads, MicroStation SS2, CAiCE, and Bentley MicroStation required.
- 3 years of Python experience required.
- Knowledge of Visual Basic required.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Strong documentation and process development skills required.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical software issues required.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and business teams required.
- Ability to develop user training materials and documentation required.
- Public sector experience highly desired.
- Transportation industry experience highly desired.
- Transportation engineering background highly desired.
- Experience conducting software training highly desired.
