Position: CAD Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN
We are seeking a CAD Technician to create coordinated 2D drawings and support model-based documentation for utility projects while upholding standards, content quality, and workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about accurate, consistent documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare clear, well-annotated utility drawings, details, and schedules per standards.
- Coordinate with engineers to translate markups and design intent into production drawings.
- Maintain drawing sets, files, and references; perform routine audits for quality and consistency.
- Support content creation (blocks, styles, details) and sheet set organization.
- Assist project managers with documentation workflows and deliverable coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Drafting, CAD, Civil/Architecture, or related discipline.
- INDOT experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of relative experience.
- Experience with Microstation/Geopak preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit/GIS is a plus.
- Strong prioritization skills in multi-project environments.
