CAD Technician ContractWe are seeking a
CAD Technician for a 6-month contract opportunity in
Downtown Houston, TX. This is a fully onsite position, Monday through Friday.
This is a great opportunity for an entry-level CAD professional looking to gain experience supporting engineering and construction-related projects.
Position Details
Location: Downtown Houston, TX
Schedule: MondayFriday, 5 days onsite
Contract Length: 6 months
Experience: 12 years

Responsibilities
Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software.
Prepare rough and detailed scale plans based on sketches, engineering calculations, specifications, and other technical information.
Draft plans and drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects.
Gather and assemble information required to complete designs.
Coordinate with engineering and other team members to resolve design or drafting issues.
Review design concepts and understand their technical implications.
Assist with drawings related to civil, structural, architectural, and public works projects.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
12 years of CAD/drafting experience.
Basic knowledge of CAD/CADD software and drafting techniques.
Understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and design principles.
Basic understanding of engineering practices and terminology.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Civil, structural, architectural, or construction-related drafting experience is a plus.
