Electrical CAD Tech - Description

A leading EPS Firm is seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to join its Fort Worth, TX team. This position will support detailers, designers, and engineers in producing high-quality drafting and design deliverables for a variety of infrastructure and utility projects. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of computer-aided drafting and design solutions while gaining experience in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and revision of engineering drawings based on sketches, layouts, and project specifications.
• Support the development and revision of permit drawings and plot plans.
• Follow established drafting standards, procedures, and discipline-specific best practices.
• Assist with drafting, design, and project documentation for various utility and infrastructure projects.
• Utilize standard drafting software and design tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives related to drafting and design production.
• Research project-related concerns and provide recommendations for resolving design challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with project teams and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Comply with all applicable safety, quality, and operational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate"s Degree required.
• Coursework in Drafting Technology or a specialized CAD certification required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work independently.
• Self-motivated learner with a strong desire to grow within the engineering and design field.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
