    Role Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic CAD Supervisor to lead our talented team of designers. This pivotal role involves overseeing the use of advanced computer-assisted design (CAD) tools to enhance our core business operations in refrigeration systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement best practices for CAD modeling, technical drawing creation, and conveying technical information effectively to manufacturing teams and suppliers.
    • Provide comprehensive training and technical support to engineering and drafting personnel on CAD systems and methodologies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing, to refine and develop both existing and new products.
    • Formulate strategic plans to advance current CAD practices, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Lead the development of cohesive design solutions across products, including product platform solutions.
    • Interpret and integrate customer requirements and specifications into design solutions.
    • Participate actively in project meetings and contribute to team discussions.
    • Resolve design-related issues through effective problem-solving techniques.
    • Manage and supervise a team of 3 to 5 CAD professionals, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with 10-15 years of pertinent experience.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and drive progress toward project milestones.
    • Strong leadership capabilities, with a disciplined approach to task management.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing practices, including sheet metal, weldments, and assembly techniques.
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks and PDM software; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.

    Desired Skills and Attributes:

    • Ability to autonomously supervise employees while demonstrating creativity and technical expertise.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues efficiently.
    • Excellent organizational skills, with a focus on planning and scheduling.
    • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.

    Physical and Environmental Requirements:

    • Must maintain a positive work environment and effective communication with team members and supervisors.
    • Safety toe shoes and safety glasses are required in production areas.
    • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers for various tasks.
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
