Job Title: CAD Drafter
Location: Golden, CO 80401
Type: Contract opportunity with possibility of conversion to permanent after 90 days
Compensation: Up to $30/hr
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40 per week

Overview
System One is seeking a CAD Drafter to prepare accurate, detailed drawing packages and complete bills of material for Cooling Tower Projects. Drawing Packages include Structural frames, Distribution systems, Mechanical system, Internals and Access means. Drawing Packages are defined as Arrangements, Installations & Fabrication drawings complete with full bills of material.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed drawing packages and complete bills of material for Cooling Tower Projects, including Structural frames, Distribution systems, Mechanical systems, Internals, and Access means.
• Use computer-aided drafting equipment and proprietary design software, Microsoft Office applications, technical handbooks, tables, calculators, and traditional drafting tools such as scales, pencils, protractors, and T-squares.
• Confer with engineering staff and other personnel to resolve problems.
• Draft working drawings, diagrams, specifications or cross-sections of Cooling Tower components, as required for instructions to installation crews.
• Draw master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions.
• Measure factors that affect installation and arrangement of equipment, such as distances to avoid interferences.
• Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets, then check within the Drafting department and/or management.
• Review completed construction drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and conformity to standards and specifications.
• Interpret specifications, calculating quantities and volumes.
• Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.
• Supervise and train other technicians and drafters.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Associated Degree’s in Drafting / Design and two years of related experience or Bachelors in Technical Management, Environmental or Industrial Design with 0 – 2 years of related experience.
• Must be proficient in Architectural or Mechanical AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Experience with created accurate 2D and 3D drawings is a given but an emphasis in creating accurate material lists.
