CAD Drafter - Customer Support

We are recruiting for an outgoing CAD Drafter who enjoys working with customers and being involved in day-to-day operations. This is not a CAD-only position. Customer service, quoting, inside sales support, and frequent phone communication are major parts of the role.

What You’ll Do

• Create and revise 2D CAD drawings for fabricated parts and assemblies

• Convert customer sketches and field measurements into production-ready drawings

• Speak with customers to clarify specifications, answer questions, and provide order updates

• Prepare quotes, enter orders, and follow up with customers

• Coordinate with vendors, shop personnel, and warehouse team members

• Maintain organized drawing files, quotes, and project documentation

• Assist with operational and warehouse needs when necessary

What You’ll Bring

• Hands-on CAD drafting experience is required

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks, or comparable CAD software

• Candidates with approximately one year of drafting experience will be considered if they are confident, outgoing, and comfortable working with customers

• Strong customer service and telephone communication skills

• Interest in inside sales, quoting, manufacturing, and industrial operations

• Ability to interpret measurements, sketches, and technical information

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

• Technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent practical experience preferred
