    CAD Designer Solidworks - TX - July 2025 - 0109

    Our client, a leader in aircraft interior and lighting modifications, is seeking a Reverse Engineering CAD Designer to support ongoing aerospace projects in Texas. The role involves using SolidWorks to modify and recreate component designs, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Proficiency in SolidWorks is preferred, and experience in the aerospace industry is a strong plus.

    Jobs Roles & Responsibilities

    • Reverse engineer aircraft components and assemblies using SolidWorks and other 3D CAD tools to produce accurate models and technical drawings.

    • Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of interior components, lighting systems, and structural parts for aircraft.

    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance with FAA standards.

    • Assist in supplier coordination, including design reviews, production support, and process optimization.

    • Participate in technical investigations to evaluate emerging technologies and improve design approaches.

    • Perform verification tasks to ensure models and designs meet engineering and regulatory requirements.

    • Work under general supervision, delivering quality designs within project deadlines.

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    • Minimum 4 years of experience in 3D modeling with SolidWorks (reverse engineering focus preferred).

    • Strong background in aerospace structures, design criteria, and material properties.

    • Hands-on experience with reverse engineering tools, such as 3D scanning or measuring equipment, is a plus.

    • Knowledge of FAA regulations and documentation processes is highly desirable.

    • Proficient in MS Office Suite and standard business software.

    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage project timelines.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
