CAD Designer

**CAD Designer: Sharon, WI

**

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join a growing team in Sharon, WI! This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented design professional with experience in 3-D modeling, 2-D CAD, and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM). Working directly with the Engineering Manager, you will support projects from initial sales specifications through production, creating detailed drawings, developing models, and preparing manufacturing files that help bring projects to life.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

• Create 3-D models and parametric designs, including table- and spreadsheet-driven parts.

• Develop assemblies, engineering drawings, and detailed design documentation.

• Produce sales submittal drawings based on project specifications, company design standards, and applicable industry standards.

• Create detailed part drawings to support purchasing and production needs.

• Import, modify, and repair files from various CAD formats.

• Develop shop travelers with clear manufacturing instructions for production employees.

• Generate cutting files and cut paths for multiple NC plasma cutting tables.

• Perform 2-D CAD design and DXF manipulation of surfaces for CAM layouts.

• Support the transition of designs from engineering through production.

**Skills & Experience:

**

• **Education

  **: Associate degree in engineering, preferred not required; relevant experience will be considered

• **Experience

**: 3+ years of experience

in CAD design, 3-D modeling, and creating detailed engineering drawings,

**required

**

• **Software:

  **3-D CAD, 2-D Autodesk CAD, and CAM software,

  **required

  **; Inventor and OmniWin, preferred

• **Ability:

  **¨NBSP;

  manipulate DXF files, import/modify various CAD formats, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, required; FEA experience preferred
