AutoCAD Drafter/Designer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a technically savvy and teachable AutoCAD Designer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting and design, with hands-on experience interpreting and updating engineering documents in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and draft redline markups using AutoCAD.
- Read and understand P&IDs, discipline-specific drawings, and vendor documentation.
- Check, back-check, and correct drawings before loading them into the system library.
- Review and verify engineering documents from other disciplines and supplier equipment drawings.
- Update and maintain master P&IDs, master plot plans. electrical one-line drawings, wiring diagrams, instrument location plans, and other managed documents.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in CAD Drafting or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of drafting experience, preferably in an industrial or refining environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving project and department needs and technologies.
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with industrial refining processes.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
