Specialized Fire & Security, Inc. is growing our Engineering group in Orlando and looking for an experienced fire alarm designer who understands Siemens’ equipment. You'll turn contract documents and Sales proposals into accurate shop drawings and collateral documentation that our field crews and customers use every day. You'll work in the Orlando FL office as part of our multi-office Engineering Team What you'll do Work with Engineering supervisors to plan and produce shop drawings, including floorplans, riser diagrams, and control equipment and panel diagrams that match the project scope. Review contract drawings, specifications, and equipment data sheets to make sure every submittal reflects what was sold and what the code requires. Use AutoCAD automation (LISP, scripts, blocks, and templates) to speed up output and keep drawings consistent. Prepare collateral documentation for field staff, such as device schedules, wiring details, sequence of operations, and installation references. Record labor hours by project in our accounting software. Join periodic site visits, meetings, and surveys. Be available for overtime when project deadlines require it.
