Are you a full-arch implant restoration expert who wants to work where dentistry moves fastest? Our dental laboratory is adding an on-site CAD/CAM Designer in New York, NY to lead the design of All-on-X and other complex implant cases. You will join a close-knit digital team and partner with oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and restorative dentists throughout New York City, delivering accurate, esthetic restorations that meet the high expectations and quick pace of the city's practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Design: Build high-end full-arch implant restorations, including All-on-X, hybrids, bars, crowns, and bridges, in exocad or 3Shape.
- Technical Guidance: Coach and support junior designers on our New York team through design feedback, case walkthroughs, and shared best practices.
- Workflow Optimization: Improve our digital workflows and write standard operating procedures that lift the quality and consistency of lab production.
- Quality Control & Collaboration: Examine incoming digital scans and Rx instructions, run final QC checks before milling or 3D printing, and consult directly with New York clinicians on challenging cases.
- Problem Solving: Work through difficult cases, propose inventive design solutions, and keep every case on schedule.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on dental CAD/CAM design, with a heavy emphasis on full-arch implant work.
- Software Mastery: Strong command of 3Shape Dental System, exocad, or similar platforms.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of occlusion, dental esthetics, implant components, and digital restorative principles.
- Mentorship Ability: Experience with, or a genuine interest in, teaching and supporting other designers.
- Efficiency: Ability to pair outstanding quality with high-volume output in a busy, fast-paced setting.
- Bonus Points: Exposure to several implant systems, digital smile design (DSD), or process-improvement approaches such as Lean or Six Sigma.
