The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Process Engineer to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Mesa, AZ.

The key responsibilities of the Process Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain manufacturing written/visual work instructions in various formats.
  • Release part numbers and BOM's, ensuring all specification and processes are defined.
  • Owns the tooling and routing for all products in assigned area.
  • Responsible for Engineering Change Notices and Corrective Actions.
  • Manufacturing floor support, including training.
  • Quality and technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Creating and submitting purchasing requisitions and appropriation requests for tooling and machines.
  • Continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Process Engineer at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • A bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline plus 4-6 years of experience or equivalent education and experience. 
  • Must have working knowledge of engineering design, test, and processes and be familiar with electrical connectors, contacts and military specifications. 
  • Possible travel domestic or overseas.
  • Experience with AS/400 a plus.  Proficient in MS office.  Understanding of CAD software and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. 
  • Technical writing, metallurgy and general machining experience are preferred.
  • Must be able to sit stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.  Use of a computer from 1 to 8 hours a day.   Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
