Cable Supervisor - Sugarland, TxA growing electronics manufacturing company is seeking a Cable Assembly Supervisor to lead and expand its internal cable assembly operations. Due to continued product growth and increasing demand, this role will focus on improving production efficiency, developing standardized processes, and leading a hands-on cable assembly team. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with technical cable assembly knowledge to support prototype development, production schedules, and continuous process improvement. This is a full-time, onsite position reporting to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities-
Lead and grow the internal cable assembly team to support increasing production demands.

Supervise, coach, and develop production personnel while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Coordinate production schedules with planning, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure timely completion of cable assemblies.

Support prototype builds and urgent cable rework requests to meet customer and production deadlines.

Monitor and improve on-time delivery performance for internal cable assembly projects.

Maintain hands-on involvement in cable assembly processes, including prototype builds, to provide technical guidance and continuous improvement recommendations.

Partner with engineering to provide feedback on new product designs and manufacturability.

Coordinate the flow of materials between warehouse and production, ensuring kits and finished products are received and returned accurately.

Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, quality, and workflow by implementing industry best practices.

Communicate material shortages or production constraints to purchasing and leadership to minimize delays.

Support additional manufacturing and production initiatives as assigned by leadership.

Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service.

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established quality standards, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
Qualifications-
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Ability to read and interpret cable assembly drawings, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.

Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience; cable assembly experience preferred.

Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of cable assembly experience.

5+ years of experience leading or supervising manufacturing or production teams.

Experience supporting prototype builds, process improvements, and production scheduling.

Strong understanding of quality standards, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
