    Imagine your first week at LAPP

    You’re welcomed into a family-owned company founded in Stuttgart in 1959—now 5,800 strong across 80+ countries—where curiosity, initiative, and tradition live side by side. A mentor walks you through the production floor, introduces the extrusion line, and hands you a traveler with customer requirements. You set up the machine, verify dimensions using micrometers and calipers, and watch the first length of product meet spec. By week’s end, you’re collaborating across shifts, solving small process hiccups, and taking pride in a clean, safe, efficient workspace.

    • Production goals met without compromising safety or quality.
    • Accurate setups, smooth changeovers, and thorough teardowns.
    • Confident troubleshooting and adjustments to keep output steady.
    • Clear verification of customer requirements and adherence to job instructions.
    • An organized workstation and a willingness to jump in and help teammates.

    Choose your shift

    • 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    • 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (shift differential)
    • 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (shift differential)

    Do you bring the right background?

    • High school diploma, strong math, and basic computer literacy.
    • 1–3 years as a machine operator (CNC, machinist, or extruder).
    • Experience in process-driven manufacturing; wire & cable exposure preferred.
    • Required: hands-on use of micrometers and calipers.
    • Must be 18+ years old.

    Physical environment

    • Periodic work in confined spaces—precision and safety first.
    • Standing for as much as 80% of your shift.
    • Occasional sitting; climbing/balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
    • Capability to maneuver, move, push, and lift up to 80 lbs.

    Communication expectations

    Comfort reading safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedures; writing routine reports/correspondence; and speaking effectively to employee groups. English fluency (written and verbal) required.
