Our client is a growing telecommunications company seeking Field Laborers to support cabling installation projects in the Mebane, NC area. This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong work tenure and general labor experience looking to break into the telecom industry. No prior cable splicing or installation experience is required - training will be provided on the job.
Job Responsibilities -
- Support cable pulling and installation activities alongside experienced technicians.
- Assist with job site setup, staging materials, and organizing tools and equipment.
- Perform general manual labor tasks as directed by lead technicians and site supervisors.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout each shift.
- Follow all job site safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
- Participate in daily job hazard analysis and safety briefings prior to starting work.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment as needed.
- Report to assigned job sites on time and ready to work each scheduled day.
Job Requirements -
- Prior experience in general labor, construction, or similar physically demanding work.
- Demonstrated job tenure/stability in previous roles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform tasks involving ladder work, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
- Must pass background check and drug screening per company policy.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Mebane area.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Prior cabling, telecom, or Technician I-level experience a plus, but not required.
