Cable Harness & Panel Assembly Specialist — North Houston

Role overview
Join an Assembly team building reliable industrial electrical systems from print to finished product. You’ll transform drawings into precisely wired panels, harnesses, and assemblies ready for final test.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret wiring diagrams, unit drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and BOMs to execute accurate builds.
- Assemble electrical components and devices; mount and integrate subassemblies to specification.
- Prepare units for final test: functional testing, calibration support, and troubleshooting.
- Terminate wires to PCBs, connectors, terminals, and contact points; route and secure conductors cleanly.
- Modify/trim parts to meet electrical and dimensional requirements.
- Drill/tap mounting holes; complete all terminations per diagrams with proper tooling.
- Learn and apply Kopex techniques for packing cable glands.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead and engineering to plan work, resolve quality or procedural issues, and document updates.
- Perform in-process quality checks; follow SOPs, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards. Other duties as assigned.
Specialized focus
- Amphenol cable builds, including accurate pin insertion for gas turbine and auxiliary equipment connections.
- Wire/cable terminations within control panels and MCC/IO cabinets: strip, ferrule, label, and route to high standards.
- Expert wire preparation: inspect, strip to precise length, install correct ferrules, and apply durable labels.

Qualifications
- 2–4 years in electrical assembly preferred; related experience accepted.
- High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to perform basic math including fractions.

- Occasional proximity to moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
- Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally lift/move more than 30 lbs unassisted.
- Occasionally operate forklifts, manlifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, and similar equipment.
Schedule & location
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with possible approved overtime. Based in North Houston, Texas.
