Description
The job of a Cable Assembler is to correctly identify components and read and follow prints and assembly instructions to correctly assemble a variety of Cable and Wire/Harness Assemblies.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Must posses a working knowledge of Electrical/Electronic component identification.
- Possess a basic working knowledge of a variety of measuring devices, i.e., ruler/scale, etc.
- Have ability to interpret and follow Assembly Drawings and both Internal and Customer Documentation.
- Attention to detail is imperative.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to communicate clearly and interact favorably with others.
Responsibilities
- Assemble component parts into completed assemblies or subassemblies.
- Perform basic visual inspection on materials and final assembly.
- Obtain necessary information/training from the Production Lead Person, written procedures &/or customer supplied documentation &/or samples.
- Some responsibilities may include machine and hand crimping of electrical terminals, basic soldering of wire connections and connectors, assembly of housings/connectors, etc.
- Demonstrate knowledge of quality standards.
Additional Functions
- Clean (wipe tables, sweep floor, etc.) personal workspace and surrounding work area(s).
- Assist in maintaining and organizing facility cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications
This position is a Full-Time position, and candidate must be able to work 40 hours per week. Previous PC Board assembly, along with strong soldering skills, are preferred.
Minumum of a High School diploma or General Equivalency is required.
