PGS Worldwide is seeking Cable & Harness Technicians in Gilbert, Arizona for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will support cable and wire-harness manufacturing by assembling electrical components, interpreting wiring documentation, completing crimping and wiring operations, and maintaining workmanship and quality standards in a production environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 additional years of education and/or relevant experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production, or logistics.
- At least 1 year of experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
- Experience reading engineering drawings, schematics, wire lists, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience with ESD controls.
- Crimping experience.
- Ability to successfully complete certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620.
- Ability to successfully complete NASA J-STD certification requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to follow work instructions, operating procedures, and established manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Skills
- Graduate of a technical or trade school.
- Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
- Current NASA J-STD certification.
- Other electronics assembly or workmanship certifications.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications.
- Experience using electronic workflow, production signoff, or manufacturing documentation systems.
What You’ll Do
- Manufacture cable and wire-harness assemblies.
- Read and interpret work instructions, schematics, wire lists, and engineering drawings.
- Perform electrical assembly, wiring, crimping, and related production activities.
- Maintain hardware quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Follow applicable procedures, operation sheets, workmanship requirements, and ISO-based processes.
- Ensure work is completed accurately, completely, and according to production schedules.
- Maintain required production and quality documentation.
- Communicate production status and technical issues to shop leads and work-center management.
- Support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Full-time onsite in Gilbert, Arizona.
- 9/80A work schedule.
- Positions may be assigned to either:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–12:30 AM
