Opus Custom Cabinets is a busy custom cabinet shop in San Mateo. We build
European-style frameless and Shaker cabinetry for kitchens, vanities, and
closets. We are hiring for SHOP WORK ONLY — no job-site installation required.
Openings:
1. Experienced Cabinet Maker (full-time)
2. Shop Apprentice (full-time) — no experience required, we will train
Cabinet Maker responsibilities:
- Build custom cabinets from shop drawings (frameless and Shaker)
- Cut, edgeband, and assemble cabinet boxes, doors, and drawers
- Operate woodworking machinery (table saw, edgebander, etc.)
Cabinet Maker requirements:
- 3+ years of cabinet shop experience
- Able to read shop drawings and work independently
- Reliable transportation to San Mateo
Apprentice requirements:
- Willing to learn, reliable, and careful with your hands
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for a full shift
- Reliable transportation to San Mateo
- No experience needed — we train on the job
