Buyer / Purchasing Specialist (m/f/d)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Manage procurement, purchasing, and delivery follow-up activities for indirect materials and items.
• Identify and address causes of delays in the supply of materials and services
• Monitor daily procurement operations and ensure compliance with purchasing procedures
• Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and indirect materials in line with business requirements
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to support production, maintenance, and investment activities
• Conduct market research and evaluate purchasing and delivery conditions to support inventory optimization
• Identify and propose new suppliers based on market position, capabilities, and service standards
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on procurement needs, supply optimization actions, supplier development, and other relevant purchasing metrics

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Successfully completed bachelor's degree in business studies or high school degree with several years of experience in Procurement or other fields of Supply Chain
• Experience in project procurement, strategic purchasing, or automotive/defense manufacturing environment is an advantage
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Experience with supplier performance management and KPI tracking
• Knowledge of procurement processes in SAP (MM module preferred)
• Experience in handling international suppliers and complex supply chains
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Familiarity with defense industry requirements and compliance regulations is considered a strong advantage
• Good MS Office knowledge
• Fluent Romanian & good oral and written English, additionally German is an advantage
