Summary:
Sources, negotiates, and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and supplies.
Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives.
Monitors supplier performance for quality, reliability, and schedule adherence.
Compiles information on price trends and manufacturing processes.
Evaluates opportunities to leverage material acquisitions.
Tracks data on price trends and manufacturing processes.
Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes supplier operations to determine factors affecting prices and lowest cost.
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, and analyzes trends.
Follows up orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains purchasing records.
Prepares request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Must have a Secret clearance.
At least 1 year of data entry experience.
Ability to create and use Excel worksheets.
Experience compiling and analyzing statistical data for purchasing decisions.
Experience monitoring supplier performance and tracking price trends.
Experience negotiating with suppliers and analyzing supplier operations.
Experience reviewing proposals and selecting or recommending suppliers.
Experience following up orders, verifying delivery, and approving payment.
Experience preparing request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
