    Anchor Talent has partnered with a global manufacturer in North Dallas to recruit a Buyer/Planner.


    If you like owning a piece of the supply chain, not just processing purchase orders, but actually steering supplier performance, inventory health, and delivery timing, this role gives you that seat. You'll be the go-between for production, suppliers, and warehouse teams, with say over how materials flow and where the ERP data needs cleaning up. It's a chance to bring order to a fast-moving procurement operation for an established, global manufacturing organization.


    This is a fully onsite role, Monday through Friday, standard daytime hours. This is well-suited for someone who's analytical, doesn't mind holding suppliers accountable, and wants ownership rather than just order execution.


    Daily Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day purchasing and planning of direct materials that feed production
    • Partner with internal teams to carry out sourcing strategies tied to broader business goals
    • Place and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers, following up to keep deliveries on schedule
    • Keep delivery dates and procurement data current and accurate in the ERP system
    • Flag planning issues, price changes, and lead-time shifts to the right sourcing or planning contacts
    • Relay engineering change requirements to suppliers as needed
    • Work with the warehouse team to resolve purchase order discrepancies quickly
    • Help clear blocked invoices tied to receiving errors so supplier payments stay on track
    • Handle disposition of slow-moving or obsolete inventory when it comes up
    • Maintain and clean up procurement parameters in the ERP system to protect data integrity
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
    • Communicate proactively across teams on supply chain issues and bring solutions, not just problems
    • Support continuous improvement efforts across the procurement function
    • Follow company purchasing policy and procedures


    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Analytical, detail-oriented approach with strong follow-through
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field (not required — strong experience can substitute)
    • APICS, CPSM, or similar supply chain certification
    • Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing setting
    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles


    Compensation & Benefits

    Base salary in the $65,000–$75,000 range, depending on experience.
