    • We foster an environment for constant learning.
    • We engineer change for a more stable and sustainable world.

    YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE

We're looking for a Buyer/Planner I to join our Supply Chain team at our corporate headquarters in Easton, PA. In this role, you'll efficiently manage an assigned group of items and suppliers to deliver the best inventory turns while maintaining a high level of customer service, using inventory replenishment methods and practices to minimize slow/obsolete and scrap inventory while maximizing availability for active items. You'll own the tactical day-to-day supplier relationship — expediting orders and logistics, resolving quality and delivery discrepancies, and harvesting new cost-down opportunities to deliver savings back to the company. This is an opportunity to develop deep materials-planning expertise while working closely with Commodity Managers, Regional Sourcing Managers, and Logistics.

    WHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWN

    • Manage an assigned group of items and suppliers to deliver the best inventory turns while maintaining a high level of customer service
    • Use available inventory replenishment methods and practices to ensure minimum SLOB (slow/obsolete) and scrap inventory and maximum availability of active items, including strategic inventory hedge builds and new product introduction support
    • Develop and manage various databases to ensure systems work smoothly, including Kanban, MRP, wait-work sheets, safety stock, BPCS/CIC/BPA, and lead-times
    • Expedite suppliers and logistics with familiarity in impact order management, escalating when necessary
    • Practice lead-time suppression and identify opportunities to remove waste from the process (lean)
    • Manage tactical duties with suppliers and report out on supplier performance
    • Establish safety stock positions, best stocking locations, and kanban lot sizes with a customer-service-driven approach
    • Resolve problems and discrepancies with quality, delivery dates, quantity, and invoicing of purchased commodities — practicing 360-degree material planning
    • Own the tactical day-to-day supplier relationship
    • Harvest and shepherd new cost-down opportunities and sources to deliver savings, pushing this information to the necessary owners (e.g., Commodity Managers, Regional Sourcing Managers, Logistics) and monitoring to completion
    • Participate in and apply quality improvement processes to resolve problems in the work environment
    • Work well in a team environment, applying several problem-solving techniques
    • Occasionally communicate evenings and weekends with overseas team members or suppliers as needed

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, material control, or related fields
    • Strong analytical problem-solving ability
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Willingness to make infrequent overnight travel

    WHAT SETS YOU APART

    • Bachelor's degree
    • CPIM certification

    WHAT WE OFFER

    Build A Better Career

    • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives
    • Career development programs and internal promotion pathways—we build from within
    • Tuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunities

    Build A Better Future

    • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
    • Retirement savings plans with company match
    • Life insurance and disability coverage

    Build A Better You

    • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements where applicable
    • Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and wellness resources
    • Inclusive, team-oriented culture where people look out for one another

    Build A Better World

Join a company whose products contribute to a safer, more sustainable built environment every day.
