Our mission is to provide healthcare partners timely, practical solutions grounded in deep understanding of their work. Every day, we strive to positively impact the lives of the people who, in turn, support the health and wellness of our communities.
Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Marketlab’s success is built on collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence. Strong systems, clear data, and trusted partnerships are foundational to how we operate and scale.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Marketlab is in the midst of an exciting business transformation, and we are looking for a driven Buyer/Planner to bring an elevated level of inventory planning and supply execution to our growing Supply Chain team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end operational cycle - starting with proactive supply planning and inventory analysis, moving through purchasing execution, and tracking through to final delivery. Managing an assigned portfolio of suppliers and SKUs, you will ensure optimal inventory health with steady-state vendors while supporting the dynamic growth opportunities Marketlab pursues, including new product launches and expanding strategic partnerships. Working with cross-functional stakeholders, you will help modernize legacy workflows, optimize inventory parameters, and contribute to key supply chain projects that carry strong visibility with leadership. If you want to drive tangible operational impact and help build a more agile supply chain for our healthcare customers, this is the role for you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Act as the primary owner for all planning and purchasing tasks within an assigned portfolio of suppliers and SKUs, ensuring end-to-end execution from demand signal through final delivery. This role manages a mix of domestic and international suppliers.
Partner cross-functionally with Product Management and Sourcing to manage the supply for new product launches, building collaborative vendor relationships to secure initial inventory and establish reliable supply pipelines.
Establish supply planning parameters by reviewing and setting statistically generated ABC classifications and reorder points (ROPs) against demand, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with suppliers to proactively ensure capacity and supply. React to changing demand by realigning the supply plan.
Issue, track, and manage standard and dropship purchase orders, maintaining delivery date accuracy, expediting open orders, and chasing late deliveries to protect customer service levels.
Maintain accurate delivery dates in the system, expedite open orders, and chase late deliveries to protect customer service levels.
Maintain the accuracy of operational planning and purchasing attributes within the ERP system, including lead times, ROPs, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and supplier contact details.
Identify opportunities to modernize legacy workflows and streamline daily purchasing/planning operations to drive continuous process improvement.
Facilitate post-purchase support activities, including product returns-to-vendor (RTV), service requests, and replacement part ordering.
Partner with Accounts Payable to investigate and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies.
Facilitate the resolution of product quality non-conformance issues in adherence to quality management systems.
Collaborate with Sourcing on vendor performance monitoring, contract compliance, and supplier lifecycle management.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
2 to 5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory planning.
Experience managing a high-SKU distribution environment is preferred.
Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
Proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
Strong time management, high attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.

Collaborative Communication - Builds clear, professional relationships both verbally and in writing with external vendors and internal departments including Accounting, Product Management, and Sourcing.
