Volt is immediately hiring a Buyerin McGregor TXAs a Buyer you will Conduct supplier analysis to build sourcing plans optimize costs ensure supply continuity and manage the supply base using a stratification model and playbook. Ensure supply base health by selecting suppliers on capability quality reliability and price enforcing performance through clear goals and control plans Analyze supplier capacity and equipment for rapid new product development and long-term production to implement an end-to-end product lifecycle strategy Direct initiatives driving aggressive improvements in supplier quality total cost service levels delivery pricing lead times payment and risk compliance Develop scorecards to track supplier KPIs for senior management reporting benchmarking performance metrics against the budget monthly to show continuous improvement Build internal relationships to align procurement with business needs guiding engineering on design decisions and driving Make vs. Buy strategies Execute sourcing strategies by managing RFIsRFPs bid events selection criteria supplier negotiations contracting and ongoing contract management Coordinate with Engineering and Quality to determine the root cause of rejected material and drive changes to eliminate quality issues Administer moderate to large contracts independently negotiating pricing terminology technical scope liability indemnification intellectual property and export compliance Execute purchasing transactions by issuing purchase orders for company programs ensuring delivery and maintaining accurate MRP master data Consult and advise buyerplanners on tactical procurement strategies to ensure their professional development and operational success Conduct director-level supply base health reviews to secure executive support for the supply base management plan.This is a full-time Contract opportunity.Duration - 3 monthsYou will need the following to succeed in this role Bachelors degree or 4 years of experience working in a supply chain production or engineering functionPreferred qualifications Experience reading drawings and blueprints Technical knowledge in a commodity - for example composites raw material composite component manufacturing machining avionics soft goods etc. Experience in sourcing from a global supply base using various contractual modelsPay range 23.00 - 27.00 hrPay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration Please hit APPLY to provide the required information and we will be back in touch as soon as possible.Benefits Volt offers benefits based on eligibility that include the following health dental vision term life short term disability AD&D 401k Sick time and other types of paid leaves as required by law Employee Assistance Program EAP.Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
