Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Buyer to manage the procurement of materials and components needed to support manufacturing operations across multiple facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing activities with suppliers, including placing orders and ensuring on-time delivery, quality, quantity, and pricing requirements are met.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to maintain appropriate stock levels and efficient inventory turns.
- Communicate with internal teams and suppliers regarding delivery changes, shortages, quality issues, alternative sources, and recovery plans.
- Enter and maintain purchase orders within purchasing/MRP systems and coordinate with Logistics to support on-time material delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor"s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of MRP systems, inventory management, bill of materials, and/or manufacturing pull systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reasoning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; APICS/CSCP certification is a plus.
