We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our Purchasing team. This position is responsible for:
- Purchasing goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Qualifying vendors, evaluating bids, and assisting in negotiation of pricing/terms for purchased goods and services.
- Tracking purchases, monitoring quality, and maintaining database of vendor information.
- Working with vendors on specialty programs that provide value-add serves to Winston.
- Seeks out, evaluates, and processes agreements/contracts with vendors.
- Reviews and corrects orders based on vendor invoices.
- Processes weekly reorder point report to determine upcoming purchasing needs.
- Explore alternative sources for goods and materials.
