  • Experience in purchasing with knowledge of State and Federal rules and regulations.
  • Experience with RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Experience with contracts.
  • Have knowledge of ERP and e-Procurement systems.
  • Ability to create and analyze reports.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and retain complex material
  • Ability to provide professional, clear, accurate, and concise communication
  • Ability to deal with sensitive situations and information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business related field.
  • Experience with RFPs, RFQs, and IFBs.
  • Experience with contracts

Job Description

Responsible for advanced purchasing and procurement activities greater than $100,000, utilizing procurement guidelines, rules policies, and laws.

Job Duties

Process, review and maintain Personal Service Contracts.

Develop, run and create reports including but not limited to number of purchase orders produced, dollar value, vendors involved, and the types of goods and services purchased.

Coordinate and review purchase requisitions/contracts and identify those needing RFPs, RFQs, or RFIs and work with various departments to complete solicitations if needed.

Provide guidance to the end-users in State, Federal, TSUS and University rules and regulations relating to purchasing.

Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and compliance.

Oversee the distribution of purchase orders.

Resolve questions from end-users in a professional and timely manner.

Manage vendor catalogs and pricing within the SAP and e-procurement system.

Analyze prices and compare to the open market.

Assist in monthly training program for Procurement and Strategic Sourcing.

Perform other duties as assigned.
