Buyer II:

Responsible for generating and submitting Purchase Orders in accordance with all quality policies in order to purchase products, materials, and services based on pricing and/or suppliers'' ability to meet the required production schedule.

Position Responsibilities:

• Research products, prepare purchase orders and place orders, and select suppliers based on pricing, buy quantities, and/or lead time.
• Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
• Reconciles monthly statements, provides status of procurement activity to Department and Program Management.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a business related or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3 years'' experience in Electronics Purchasing/Supply Management.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and ability to gain proficiency in CostPoint and other relevant FES software systems.

Work Environment:

• Normal office environment.
• Expected hours 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Sitting for long periods of time.
• Occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds).
• Ability to see details at close range.
