Seeking an organized and detail-oriented Buyer/Expeditor to manage purchasing activities, coordinate with suppliers and customers, and track materials to ensure timely delivery. Job Responsibilities
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, customers, and engineers.
- Compile and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Track vendor orders, materials, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate document submittals and reviews between suppliers, customers, and engineers.
- Arrange freight shipments and coordinate material deliveries.
- Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and interpret dimensions on mechanical drawings.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint to manage daily tasks.
Job Requirements
- Experience with structural steel, pipe, valves, and fittings.
- Ability to interpret Bills of Materials and dimensions on mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to coordinate purchasing, documentation, and deliveries efficiently.
