This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or recent college graduate looking to build a career in procurement, purchasing, and supply chain management.

The Buyer will be responsible for coordinating the timely procurement of materials, parts, equipment, and services while supporting supplier relationships, purchase order processing, delivery schedules, and cost management.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with some exposure to purchasing, procurement, or manufacturing operations. Candidates with 1–3 years of experience are preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant education, internships, or training will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, production capabilities, and delivery performance.

  • Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs) and purchase orders (POs).

  • Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure materials and supplies are delivered on time.

  • Review supplier quotes and evaluate pricing, delivery schedules, quality, and service.

  • Assist with price negotiations and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

  • Monitor supplier performance and communicate potential delivery delays or supply chain issues.

  • Resolve purchasing discrepancies involving damaged, missing, incorrect, or late materials.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and other internal departments to support production requirements.

  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and material lead times.

  • Prepare purchasing reports and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and applicable industry and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. Four-year degree required.

  • Approximately 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials-related experience preferred.

  • Entry-level candidates with relevant internships, academic training, or exposure to supply chain concepts will be considered.

  • Basic understanding of purchasing processes, supplier relationships, and supply chain operations.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, automotive, or production environments.

  • Exposure to purchase orders, RFQs, vendor management, or supplier negotiations.

  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, ERP, or MRP systems.

  • Experience with inventory management, materials planning, or supplier delivery tracking.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is dependable, analytical, eager to learn, and interested in developing a long-term career in purchasing and supply chain management.
