A growing food manufacturer is seeking a Buyer to manage raw materials, production supplies, MRO inventory, and other purchasing needs for its Chandler facility. This position will work closely with production, scheduling, vendors, and Accounts Payable to ensure materials are available to meet changing production demands.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Monitor MRP requirements and purchase materials used in finished-goods production.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for production, MRO, office, and one-time purchases.
  • Coordinate with production and scheduling teams to support short-term plans and last-minute changes.
  • Manage vendor communication, purchase orders, delivery timing, and supply issues.
  • Prepare forecasts and monitor minimum and maximum order quantities.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve purchase-order and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data within company systems.
  • Support the commercialization and material setup of new SKUs.

Qualifications

  • Purchasing, inventory, materials, or supply-chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred; protein-based manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Candidates from broader CPG manufacturing environments will also be considered.
  • Experience working with MRP or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to changing production requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly move throughout the manufacturing facility.
