A dedicated, experienced, formal, and polished household manager and
butler to oversee every aspect of the principal's life and management of
his primary residence in keeping with the principal's desire for a
luxury service experience for himself and his guests throughout.
The
position requires initiative and a hands-on approach. Familiarity with
butler etiquette, formal table service, and elegance in service are a
must. The demands of this position are likely best suited to a candidate
in their forties as opposed to a more seasoned applicant who may not be
able to keep up with the demands of the principal or a younger
candidate who may be lacking the relevant experience. In addition to the
relevant experience, a steadfast commitment to dedicating yourself in
service to this principal will be well rewarded.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
This position will require
devotion to the principal and position with 24/7 mentality. The role is
responsible for household management and butler service, including:
- Oversight of residential management, including supervising housekeeping staff and vendor management.
- Maintaining all household technology.
- Managing household utility financial responsibilities and timely payments in conjunction with the personal business manager.
- Monthly household expense reporting.
- Daily property walkthrough and inspection.
- Overseeing the completion of the household manuals already in progress.
- Restocking and record keeping for household supplies and consumables, and communication with the principal on reordering.
- Travels in advance to the Italian residence to prepare, stock, and clean the property in advance of the principal's arrival.
- Provide butler service for formal dinner events and oversee
hospitality for all guest events at the equivalency of a luxury hotel
experience.
- Organizes occasional small events and dinner parties, partnering
with chef on menu curation, wine/cocktail menus, décor, florals, etc.
- Light cooking and preparation as directed: i.e. preparation of coffee, salads, smoothies, light meals, cocktails, wine, etc.
- Mixology and cocktail knowledge and preparation for principal and
guests, along with expert knowledge of wines for meal pairings.
- Acts as chauffeur/driver for the principal locally, as needed, to
restaurants, airport, etc., and oversee all vehicle maintenance.
- Unpacking and packing of luggage and bags upon the principal's
arrival to and departure from the residence for business and personal
travel.
- Responsibility for pet maintenance and care, as needed, for principal's one dog.
- In the absence of the housekeeper, perform the housekeeping duties
including washing dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, and pans; wiping and
dusting surfaces in rooms; cleaning windows & mirrors; vacuuming and
cleaning floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes; stocking, changing, and
cleaning linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets; emptying trash
containers.
- Seeing to other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of luxury service and having graduated a top-tier private service training program.
- Thoroughness and sufficiently detail oriented to create methodical systems, compile lists, and keep the utmost organization.
- Excellent knowledge of formal meal services, practices, and table preparation.
- Ability to prepare food and drinks on occasion with knowledge of wines, bartending, and mixology.
- Tech savvy with home media and technology needs.
- Dog friendly.
- Spanish and Italian language proficiency is preferred.
- Valid California drivers license is required.
- Absolute discretion and respect for privacy for the principal and guests always.
- Physical requirements for the position are the ability to endure
prolonged periods standing and walking, and the ability to lift and
carry up to 25 pounds at times.
Reporting Structure
- The position will report directly to the principal.
- Supervision of housekeeping staff and liaising with the chef are required.
Location
- An urban, 12,000 square foot residence in Los Angeles where the
principal spends 70% of his time. Occasional travel to Italian residence
accompanying and preparing for the principal.

The annual gross salary
will be $225K+, commensurate with the necessary experience and
dedication required for success in this position. Additional benefits
will include:
