This role blends traditional valet and front-of-house service, whilst managing all aspects of household operations, and you’ll be able to use your skills to maintain impeccable standards and ensure everything runs smoothly.

As the Butler/Household Manager, you’ll supervise staff, coordinate maintenance and repairs, and manage household budgets. Your strong organizational skills will keep everything on track, from inventories and supplies to scheduling.
You’ll be the principal’s right hand, anticipating needs before they’re spoken. From wardrobe and valet care to coordinating staff, and vendors, your touch will be felt across every facet of the home.
Whether serving at a formal table or managing behind-the-scenes logistics, such as table settings, meal service, beverage and cellar management or tea and coffee service, your expertise will maintain the highest standards of privacy, presentation, and hospitality.
You’ll also handle vendor relationships, obtaining quotes and negotiating contracts with service providers. This gives you the chance to sharpen your negotiations skills and build a network of trusted professionals.
With the family calendar in your hands, you’ll coordinate appointments and travel arrangements, ensuring seamless support for the household. Your discretion and professionalism will be key, especially when managing confidential information.
What you’ll do
- •Oversee and manage all household operations, such as maintaining household manuals, inventories, and service standards, ensuring high standards of service
- •Service Excellence by providing formal and informal service (table settings, meal service, beverage/cellar management, tea/coffee service), guest reception, and concierge-level assistance)
- •Wardrobe & Valet: Garment care, shoe care, seasonal rotation, packing lists, outfit preparation, liaising with tailors and dry cleaners.
- •Prepare and monitor household budgets, track expenses, and maintain financial records.
- •Coordinating with external vendors for property maintenance, renovations, and tech support. Safeguarding valuable estate assets like silver, antiques, and fine art.
- •Manage staff schedules and supervising domestic employees like maids, housekeepers, and chefs. Managing tasks, and monthly performance reviews.
- •Ensure household safety and security procedures are followed.
- •Plan and execute household and hospitality support for events; dinners, receptions, and events, coordinating menus, rentals, florals, and vendors
- •Ensure the estate’s presentation is immaculate, overseeing silver, crystal, and fine art care in partnership with specialists.
- •Uphold strict confidentiality and support access control and security protocols.
What you’ll need
- •Previous experience in household management, estate management, hospitality, property management, or executive support.
- •Ideally 3+ years of experience in private service (butler, house manager, hospitality leadership) within UHNW households, luxury hotels, or yachts.
- •Flawless service etiquette, strong organization, problem-solving, multitasking, and meticulous attention to detail and confident in both formal and relaxed settings.
- •Experience in formal service, household management, and smart home systems.
- •Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- •Excellent communication and leadership abilities, enabling you to supervise staff and interact with vendors professionally.
- •Proficiency with Microsoft Office and household management software.
- •Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- •Valid driver’s license may be required.
